This is written by the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, Valeriy Zaluzhny.
According to him, it is obvious that conditions are not getting better for Ukraine each time, and he actually supported the idea of concluding peace without a "complete victory" over Russia.
"When formulating the political goal of the war, it is important to remember that war does not always end with the victory of one side and the defeat of the other. This was the case in World War II, but this is a rare exception, as it almost never happened in human history. The vast majority of wars end either in mutual defeat, or everyone is sure that they have won, or other options.
Thus, if we are talking about victory, we must honestly say this: victory is the collapse of the Russian Empire, and defeat is the complete occupation of Ukraine through its collapse. Everything else is just a continuation of the war," he wrote.
Ukrainians, he writes, of course, strive for a complete victory - the collapse of the Russian Empire. But they cannot reject the option of a long-term (for years) cessation of the war, which the country can take advantage of.
"After all, this is a very common way in the history of wars to end them. At the same time, peace, even in anticipation of the next war, gives a chance for political changes, for deep reforms, for full recovery, economic growth, the return of citizens," he writes. "You can even talk about the beginning of the formation of a safe, maximally protected state through innovation and technology. The formation and strengthening of the foundations of a just state through the fight against corruption and the creation of a fair court. Economic development of the country, in particular, on the basis of international economic programs for the reconstruction of the country."

Украіне жа ніхто з заходніх краін не збіраецца дапамагаць у тым, каб дайсці да Масквы, разбурыць яе і Крэмль.
Есть вообще в Украине люди которые не вороют и не хотят распада РФ? И может они не вкурсе про ядерное оружие в РФ?
Или хотя бы не говорят это публично.
Что теперь РФ должна отаетить на эти слова?
