Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the massive Russian attack , which resulted in the death of a four-year-old girl and other casualties, and is destroying the country's energy and other critical infrastructure.

"A massive Russian strike on Ukraine has been ongoing since night, primarily targeting our energy infrastructure, civilian infrastructure, literally all life-sustaining infrastructure. There have already been over 650 drones, a significant part of which are 'Shaheds'. More than three dozen missiles," Zelenskyy said.
As of this moment, air raid alerts remain in effect over most of Ukraine's territory. In the Kyiv region, a woman was killed by a Russian drone attack. There is also a report of a fatality in the Khmelnytskyi region. In the Zhytomyr region, a four-year-old child was killed – a Russian drone hit a residential building.
In total, at least 13 regions have been hit.
"This Russian strike very clearly signals Russia's priorities. A strike before Christmas, when people just want to be with their loved ones, at home, in safety. A strike effectively in the midst of negotiations aimed at ending this war.
Putin just can't accept that he must stop killing. And this means the world is not putting enough pressure on Russia. Now we need to react. We need to push Russia towards peace and guaranteed security," Zelenskyy states.
He says it must not be forgotten that every day – on weekdays and holidays alike – Ukraine defends human lives.
"Air defense for Ukraine, funding for arms procurement, supplies of energy equipment – all these are processes that do not take weekends off," he added.
The President of Ukraine thanked everyone who helps Ukraine.
