Internal Troops to Deploy All-Terrain Vehicles, APCs, "Volat" and "Tygr" for Snow Removal
Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov instructed the internal troops to make maximum use of heavy equipment to assist in snow removal and provide assistance to citizens in difficult weather conditions.

This decision was made following a selector meeting with the leadership of territorial internal affairs bodies and the State Automobile Inspectorate, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.
By order of the head of the department, the personnel of the State Automobile Inspectorate and units involved in ensuring order on the roads and eliminating the consequences of the natural disaster have been put on an enhanced duty regime. A republican operational and situational headquarters has been deployed at the Main Directorate of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and similar headquarters have been created in the regions. Their composition, in addition to State Automobile Inspectorate employees, includes representatives of public security police units and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
Kubrakov instructed the leadership of the internal troops to deploy all-terrain vehicles, APCs, "Volat" and "Tygr" vehicles, and other heavy equipment to the roads to assist communal services and citizens who find themselves in difficult situations. A special task was set to assist pensioners and veterans with snow removal.
It was also instructed to conduct an audit of all available special equipment and concentrate it under the command of the State Automobile Inspectorate. The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that some road sections, including those of regional and republican significance, will be closed for clearing.
In addition, instructions were given to ensure the removal of personal vehicles from yards and roadsides; unattended vehicles will be evacuated.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that in case of minor traffic accidents, drivers can use the Europrotocol without calling the State Automobile Inspectorate. Consultations are available via the 24-hour hotline 140.
