Almost one and a half thousand people had to be evacuated from a Minsk school
On the morning of February 20, about 1,300 students and 60 staff members were temporarily evacuated from Minsk Secondary School No. 26 on Leo Sapieha Street. This was reported by the Minsk City Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The incident occurred due to a fire in the school building, writes the publication "Minsk-News".

The signal about the fire was received by rescuers through the "Malanka" system, after which they immediately left for the scene. The voice notification system also activated in the building. Before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, the school administration independently organized the evacuation of children and adults.
After investigation, it was found that a hand dryer in the bathroom on the second floor caught fire. The causes of the incident are currently being determined. The fire was extinguished even before the firefighters arrived. There were no casualties.
