The 2nd Eastern District Military Court sentenced two teenagers to seven and seven and a half years of imprisonment in the case of setting fire to a Mi-8 helicopter on the territory of a military airfield in Omsk.
The teenagers were found guilty of committing a terrorist act by prior conspiracy. Until they reach adulthood, they will be held in a juvenile penal colony, and then transferred to a general regime penal colony.
The investigation believes that in September 2024, the teenagers penetrated the territory of the Omsk-Severny airfield and set fire to a helicopter using a homemade incendiary mixture. They were detained within 24 hours.
According to the FSB, during interrogation, the teenagers stated that an unknown person in a messenger offered them 20 thousand dollars for the arson. It is alleged that after this, they sent the curator a video of the arson as a report.
