Ryzhenkov stated that Belarus can fully connect the EU with the East
The Minister of Foreign Affairs today visited the "Brest" and "Kozlovichi" checkpoints. He assessed the infrastructure and conditions for those crossing the Belarusian-Polish border, writes BelTA.
He said that Belarus, for its part, is ready to provide opportunities for the crossing of a larger number of goods and the movement of citizens in the shortest possible time. "The ball is in the court of our partners on the other side of the border," emphasized the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He drew attention to the fact that the world is currently in an unstable situation. Belarus can fully connect the European Union with the East.
"A corridor passes through Belarus, which is very calm today, on which there are checkpoints equipped with the latest technology and capable of aggregating a huge amount of cargo within a day. Of course, I very much hope that our neighbors will still adopt a reasonable approach to understand that it's high time to take advantage of this. This will bring benefits for both them and us," Maxim Ryzhenkov is convinced.
He also said that "the West was the initiator of the restrictions that make cargo delivery more costly and that caused delays at the border for citizens and transport."
"If they want to take advantage of the current moment and truly, through themselves, through Poland and Belarus, form a good, more reliable, broader channel of interaction along the West-East line, we are definitely ready for that. This is a very beneficial topic. We are waiting for their actions. They must show themselves, because they were the initiators of all restrictions," summarized the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
