The Metro Revealed the Secret Behind the Hidden Doors at "Kastrychnitskaya" Station
In the round vestibule connecting "Kastrychnitskaya" and "Kupalauskaya" metro stations, there is a closed exit that "leads nowhere". Previously, there were even turnstiles there, and beyond them — classic glass metro doors. What lies behind them is one of the oldest mysteries of the Minsk metro.

In a passenger's imagination, anything could be there: a restaurant, a gambling club, no-rules fights taking place, perhaps knights of a secret order gathering. Even "very strange things" could be happening there. The metro's press service even visualized these fantasies.

In reality, everything is much more prosaic.
Behind these doors is a room where Minsk Metro security service employees receive briefings before starting their shifts.

The publication Blizko.by adds another detail: this exit was originally planned as a regular exit for passengers.
The passage leads to the "Kastrychnitskaya" station passage near Alexander's Square. The path leads to the "Kastrychnitskaya" station passage near Alexander's Square.
The exit — an iron door — is easy to spot next to the "Flower Bazaar" shop.

According to Blizko.by, there was a plan to open this exit to separate the passenger flows going to "Kastrychnitskaya" and "Kupalauskaya" stations, and to relieve overcrowding.
