"Tanya bravely overcame everything and coped with everything." EPAM director thanked everyone who helped with money for his wife's fight against cancer
The wife of one of EPAM's directors is in remission. He is grateful to everyone who helped, Andrey Shubadzeur himself told Devby.io.

In January 2024, Andrey's wife, Tatiana, was diagnosed with bowel cancer. She underwent difficult treatment — and the disease receded, but unfortunately, a check-up in June showed a relapse.
Andrey appealed to readers — and they responded. Shubadzeur later noted that for him and his wife, "it was a new experience — to openly declare to the world that help was needed." But there was no time to delay: doctors required treatment to begin no later than ten days after the examination results came in. Andrey was not sure he could quickly find the necessary amount himself: previous treatment had been expensive, and Shubadzeur "had not had time to financially recover."
Tatiana has now completed a five-month course of treatment at the Bogenhausen clinic.
— It was not an easy period in her life — chemotherapy with antibodies again, and also radiation therapy. But Tanya bravely overcame it and coped with everything, — says Andrey. — And all thanks to the great support of everyone around, including dev.by readers.
To summarize, we collected about 25 thousand euros on the zrzutka.pl platform alone. Of course, my former colleagues from Wargaming and current colleagues from EPAM also helped — they transferred money directly, and with these funds, we were able to pay for the chemotherapy. I am immensely grateful to all these people.
According to Andrey, the total amount of aid they received with Tatiana was almost 70 thousand euros, which went towards treatment and living expenses in Germany. And "all this helped us achieve the result — remission," the interviewee adds.
Andrey says that Tatiana is now home. The treatment ended in December. But for three more long months, the whole family lived in a waiting mode: the doctors announced the results recently.
— Tanya feels very well. We are immensely happy that this difficult period is over. I hope it's for a long time, or maybe even forever.
Andrey says that Tatiana was an example of resilience for him all this time, and he is grateful to his wife for showing unprecedented strength despite the situation — which also gave him strength. "Without this, we wouldn't have endured — no money would have helped."
Tatiana still has recovery after chemotherapy and radiation therapy ahead; she is optimistic.
