Belarus plans to issue a new batch of «Slavyanka» gold investment coins. The National Bank announced that a coin with a face value of 50 rubles will be put into circulation.

The new coin will be issued in a mintage of 5 thousand pieces. It is made of high-purity gold (999.9), weighs 7.78 grams, and is intended for saving funds and investments. Moreover, it is an official means of payment in the country and can be used without restrictions. The coin will go on sale on April 14.
In addition, the «Slavyanka» series includes other coins: a gold one with a face value of 100 rubles and a silver one — 20 rubles. They can be purchased at banks: approximately for 7580 rubles (100 rubles), 3830 rubles (50 rubles), and 320 rubles (silver).
The «Slavyanka» coins became the first investment coins of the National Bank. According to information on the regulator's website, they began to be issued in 2013.
The first batch of 50-ruble coins, totaling up to 100 thousand pieces, was produced at the Swiss enterprise Valcambi. Later, they were minted in Kazakhstan. And since last year, the National Bank's gold investment coins began to be produced in Belarus — at the Gomel enterprise «Kryštal».
