The greenhouse complex in Minsk will start growing not only regular red tomatoes but also new varieties — yellow and so-called chocolate ones. The head of the enterprise, Sergei Nekrashevich, announced the new plans, writes the Minsk-Novosti agency.

According to Sergei Nekrashevich, a new type of lettuce will also go on sale, and the production of cherry tomatoes will significantly increase: if previously about 300 kilograms were harvested per day, now it will be more than a ton.
The first harvest of new tomato varieties is planned for April, provided the weather is favorable.
Additionally, last year the enterprise increased eggplant production by 20%, and peppers by four times. This year, the areas will remain the same, but thanks to improved technologies, they plan to increase their cultivation by another 15%.
The enterprise must also provide the city with at least 50,000 rose bushes. Flower seedlings have been prepared for decorating Minsk — they will be planted in about 12,000 pots, which will be placed along the roads, taking into account the weather.
