Today is the 1500th day of the war that began four years ago — on February 24, 2022.
The war has already surpassed the Great Patriotic War in duration by three months, which lasted 1418 days (from June 22, 1941, to May 9, 1945), and is approaching the duration of World War I, which lasted 1567 days (July 28, 1914 – November 11, 1918).
World War II lasted six years and one day (September 1, 1939 – September 2, 1945) — 2192 days.
Today, Russia shelled Kherson.
Around 08:30, a Russian drone struck a minibus in the Dniprovskyi district. Preliminary reports indicate five people were injured."
"A 19-year-old girl, three women aged 68, 50, and 43, and three men aged 71, 63, and 51 were hospitalized. All injured sustained blast injuries and closed head injuries, with numerous shrapnel wounds to their arms, legs, and torso," noted Yaroslav Shanko, head of the city administration.
Later, he clarified that the 51-year-old bus driver is in serious condition.
"The man sustained multiple wounds to his abdomen and legs. Medics are fighting for his life. The other 6 injured are in moderate condition," Shanko reported.
