Exit polls in Israel show a tie

Neither the government nor the opposition blocs are gaining a majority in the Knesset, writes the Ynet portal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his main opponent Gadi Eisenkot

Turnout was record-breaking, especially among the Arab minority. Arab parties are gaining a record number of seats — about 17 out of 120.

Netanyahu's "Likud" remains in first place among parties, but the government coalition will get fewer seats than in the last elections. But the opposition will also be unable to form a majority government without Arab votes.
