Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani instructed to summon Russian ambassador Alexei Paramonov to express an official protest, reports "Dozhd" with reference to ANSA agency.
Yesterday on "Solovyov Live", Vladimir Solovyov, speaking in Italian, called Giorgia Meloni a "s***" and "fascist scum", because she "betrayed Trump, to whom she swore loyalty". Later, these words were noticed by major Italian media.
“I consider it my duty to demand that the Russian embassy in Italy, which often makes statements, distance itself from these words and tone,” said Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto.
The Russian ambassador himself stated that Italian diplomats "missed the mark once again": "No sensible, reasonable person would ever think of perceiving exclusively personal emotional private assessments by anyone as an official statement by the government of one state or another."
