Representatives of the diplomatic missions of Great Britain, Germany, EU countries, Ukraine, and Moldova laid flowers at the "Memory" memorial on Dzerzhinsky Avenue in Minsk, the EU Delegation to Belarus reported.

"On May 8, the British Embassy in Minsk, together with colleagues from other European embassies, laid flowers at the 'Memory' memorial on Dzerzhinsky Avenue as a sign of respect for those who died in World War II. The memorial marks the place where, on June 28, 1941, 34 soldiers engaged in an unequal battle with German troops. Twenty-four of them remained unknown. On this day in 1945, the act of unconditional surrender of Germany was signed, which put an end to World War II. We do not forget and honor the memory of all who brought closer the day of victory in Europe," the British Embassy in Minsk reported.
