In Mogilev, a criminal case was initiated against a 21-year-old girl.
At the request of her older sister, she stayed to look after her nieces — aged two, four, and six. When the children did not want to go to bed, the aunt took out her anger on the eldest girl and beat her with a belt, the Prosecutor General's Office reports.
The girl inflicted upon the 6-year-old girl no fewer than 20 blows with a belt with a metal buckle.
After the incident, all three children were recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation. Their aunt is accused of beating a minor who was in a helpless state (Part 2, Article 154).
The girl is under a recognizance not to leave and for proper conduct, the case has been transferred to court.
