Centralized exam interrupted in eastern Latvia due to drone threat

In several districts of Latgale, following a possible airspace threat announced by the National Armed Forces, the centralized Latvian language exam for 9th-grade students was interrupted, according to information provided by the Minister of Education and Science, writes Delfi.lt.
The second part of the exam will be organized at a later date — June 9.
Given the current geopolitical situation and recent threats to Latvia's airspace, the State Education Development Agency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, prepared informational material on the actions of school management in unforeseen situations at local and national levels, which was sent to all educational institutions.
On Tuesday, a notification about a possible airspace threat was also once again sent via cellular network in the eastern border region.

Initially, a threat was reported in Krāslava and Ludza regions, but later, a notification via cellular network was also sent to residents of other districts.
