A Russian man tried to import 99 thousand dollars from Moldova, hidden under products in a car cooler.

Brest customs officers discovered an attempt to illegally import a large sum of currency. A Russian man, traveling from Moldova, proceeded through the red corridor for temporary import clearance of his car, but hid the money.
During questioning, the driver assured that he only had personal belongings and about 900 US dollars. But during the inspection, 99 thousand US dollars were found under products in a portable car cooler.

Brest customs initiated a criminal case for the illegal movement of a large sum of cash across the border. He faces a fine, restriction or deprivation of liberty for up to five years. The money has been confiscated pending a court decision.
