Businessman Varabei Assures Lukashenka Transfers Land to Him Not for Free
Belarusian businessman Mikalai Varabei, to whom Lukashenka on October 15 proposed to transfer lands in the Verkhnyadzvinsk district, stated that this is allegedly not done for free, writes BelTA.

According to Varabei, when the state allocates land or other facilities for business projects, there should be no talk of their free transfer. He assured that he is ready to pay for everything that will belong to the state for agricultural lands and enterprises.
«I would not want to take anything from the state. As a businessman, I believe that one should give to the state. And every businessman should be useful to the state and society. Then this is a proper and good businessman,» he stated.
Varabei recounted that he has been working in the Verkhnyadzvinsk district for a long time. Initially, he focused on the development of hunting grounds. According to him, attractive conditions for hunting and fishing were created there. Now he intends to further develop the region.
Among the new directions is the agricultural project «Chyrvony Bor Agro,» which specializes in breeding beef cattle. On October 15, Aliaksandr Lukashenka visited this complex. During the visit, the expansion of production and the allocation of additional lands were discussed.
Varabei reported that the construction of one dairy complex has already begun, and the construction of another is planned to start in the spring. In the future, the businessman intends to develop pedigree livestock breeding and continue investing in the region.
He also declared his readiness to invest not only in production but also in social infrastructure. According to him, the development of enterprises should create jobs, provide salaries, and improve the living conditions of local residents. In the district, he said, roads and recreational areas have already been built, and cafes operate in the villages.
