Black Labrador Pixel sniffed out 7,000 euros worth of contraband at the Polish-Belarusian border
Each of the two 21-year-old smugglers was fined 4,700 euros. They were banned from entering Schengen for eight years, reports the Belarusian edition of Polish Radio.

Employees of the Polish Customs and Tax Service at the Kuźnica road border crossing (Bruzy on the Belarusian side) found contraband cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps in two Volkswagen minibuses.
1,500 packs of tobacco products, with a total value of over 31,000 zlotys (7,000 euros), were discovered thanks to the vigilant Labrador named Pixel, a service dog of the Polish customs. The cigarettes were hidden in the seats of the vehicles, and the drivers of the minibuses were two 21-year-old Belarusians.
The smugglers took the opportunity to voluntarily agree to a penalty and accepted fines of 21,000 zlotys (over 4,700 euros) each. Based on the decision of the Polish border authorities, they are banned from entering the Schengen area for eight years.
