Minsk Metro explained what to do if you fall onto the tracks

Falling onto the station tracks in the metro can happen for various reasons — due to inattention, worsening well-being, or an accidental push. In such a situation, the main thing is to act correctly. The algorithm of actions was reminded by the press service of the SE "Minsk Metro".

Tracks in Minsk Metro

According to specialists, if there is no train nearby, you should not try to get onto the platform by yourself. You should walk along the wall towards the electronic clocks, stop behind the black-and-white rail — this is a safe zone. Next, you need to attract the attention of passengers and metro employees.

If the train is approaching, you should lie in the trough between the tracks face down, press your arms along your body, do not move, and remain in that position.

“It is important to remember: along the edge of the platform runs a contact rail under high voltage,” specialists noted. “Approaching it is life-threatening.”

Eyewitnesses of the incident should immediately inform metro employees, give the driver a "Stop" signal (circular hand movement), and not try to rescue the person from the tracks by themselves.
