Neman Hockey Player: I was bitten by a tick — with not very good consequences
Neman hockey player Herman Paddubny did not play for a month and a half due to a tick bite: «I want to forget all this as soon as possible».

Grodno «Neman» forward Herman Paddubny said that a tick bite had serious consequences for him and kept him out of the game for a long time. Recovery was difficult: over time, he didn't even want to watch hockey, writes BetNews.
Paddubny had not played since September 12. He spoke about the reason for the long break in an interview after his return:
«It's simple. I was bitten by a tick, and everything went with not very good consequences. Bad luck. Fate, or what?» — said the hockey player.
To the question of where he might have picked up the tick, Paddubny replied that he had gone quad biking. However, he did not want to discuss what happened in detail.
«An unfortunate incident occurred. Honestly, I don't want to talk about it… I want to forget all this as soon as possible».
The athlete did not specify what exactly health problems arose after the bite.
He spent most of this time recovering and only came a few times to watch home matches.
«Yes, it's difficult, to be honest. Over time, I didn't even want to watch, because I want to play, participate, help», — admitted Paddubny.
Adding to the worries was the fact that the club counted on him as one of its leaders.
«I understand that the club and coaching staff are counting on me to be a leader, to lead the team forward. And it's not easy when you're sidelined like this, due to an unfortunate incident».
After returning to the ice, it is still difficult for Paddubny to maintain a high tempo. He says he can receive the puck, make passes, and shoot, but he still needs to regain his speed.
