Bolsonaro, who lost the elections in Brazil and fled the country, was received by Trump in the USA
Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, who lost the presidential elections this Sunday, flew to the USA with his wife and daughters. Permission to issue visas to his family was given by US President Donald Trump himself, writes Euronews.

The plane with the politician landed at Opa-Locka Airport in Florida, which is used by American border and customs services. Prior to this, for more than a day, the exact whereabouts of Bolsonaro and his family remained unknown.
On the eve of his departure, October 26, the Supreme Court of Brazil ordered the ex-candidate to surrender his passports to the police. He is suspected of corruption and money laundering during the creation of a film about his father — former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. Flávio Bolsonaro did not comply with the court's demand, after which the police annulled his documents.
In addition, the Supreme Court instructed to investigate the politician's election campaign for possible foreign funding.
Flávio Bolsonaro himself denies all accusations. The US State Department processed visas for his family. Donald Trump, answering journalists' questions, stated that he did not object to granting Bolsonaro asylum. The American president also called the recent elections in Brazil strange and awful.
On October 25, the 45-year-old senator lost in the second round of the presidential elections to the incumbent head of state, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. 51.79% of voters cast their ballots for Lula, and 48.21% for Bolsonaro.
Flávio Bolsonaro, who led after the first round, did not recognize the official results of the vote and demanded their annulment. At the same time, he declared himself the "true elected president" of Brazil and thanked Donald Trump and Argentine President Javier Milei for their support.
