Online sales of jewelry allowed

Online sales of jewelry have been allowed in Belarus. The corresponding decree was signed by Alexander Lukashenka on October 29.

The document allows Belarusian economic entities to remotely sell jewelry using the internet. However, the new rules apply only to products of Belarusian origin that have special means of identification — marking.

It is expected that this measure will help Belarusian jewelry manufacturers expand their presence in the domestic market and increase the competitiveness of their products by attracting a wider range of buyers.

A few years ago, rules for online jewelry sales were already approved in Belarus. However, they stipulated rather strict requirements for sellers, so this form of trade did not become widespread.
