A translation of one of Roger Vitrac's key surrealist plays has been released

The publishing initiative Nadja has published a translation of Roger Vitrac's play "Victor, or The Children in Power" (1928), translated by Lizaveta Chyzh. The book is available in electronic and print versions, writes bellit.info.

«Victor, or The Children in Power» is one of the key surrealist plays: an idyll of a family celebration, beneath which is laid an explosive charge of madness, violence, incest, and death — beautiful, as only death itself can be.

The text of the play is accompanied by notes and comments.

Download the PDF version here. To purchase a print copy, write to [email protected] or to the Telegram channel of the Nadja initiative (offer for Belarus only).
