An intercepting parking lot in the area of the intersection of Leitenanta Kizhavatava and Sierava streets is planned to be put into operation by the end of this year. Andrey Zyranau, General Director of the state association "Garages, Parking Lots and Car Parks", told Minsk-Novosti about this.
— The facility is located at the entrance to the city, near the "Slutski Hastsіnets" metro station, which is especially convenient for drivers coming from other settlements," clarified Andrey Zyranau. "— For a small fee, you will be able to leave your car here and continue your journey by public transport. The main goal of such parking lots is to relieve city roads. Drivers save time and don't get stuck in traffic jams, and there are fewer cars on the streets of the capital.
The facility is planned to be completed by the end of the year. 158 cars will be able to park on the site simultaneously. In addition, 15 electric charging stations will be equipped here, which will be a significant advantage for electric car owners.
The territory will be guarded. An automated access system will be implemented here, similar to the parking lot near TSUM, where hourly payment is in effect.
Intercepting parking lots are located near major transport hubs. Here you can leave your personal car and switch to public transport, bicycle, personal mobility devices, or continue on foot.
