Gazprom Center in Minsk to be Completed by End of Next Year

In Minsk, the construction of the multifunctional complex "Gazprom Center" is planned to be completed by the end of 2027. This was announced on November 4 during an on-site meeting led by Vladimir Kukharev, chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, writes the "Minsk News" agency.

The complex is being erected at the intersection of Independence Avenue and Filimonov Street, on the site of the former "Moskovsky" bus station. The project includes seven buildings of varying heights, united by a common stylobate part. The central element will be a 36-story skyscraper, 189 meters high. After construction is completed, it is expected to become the tallest building in Belarus.

According to Alexander Parai, a representative of "Gazprom Transgaz Belarus", almost all work on the construction of reinforced concrete structures has already been completed. Builders are now installing metal elements of the inclined facade and facade systems, erecting internal partitions, plastering them, and laying engineering networks. Simultaneously, the construction of foundations and monolithic structures for the lower part of the skyscraper continues.

A distinctive feature of the project is its massive foundation: it is supported by 483 bored piles, 32-35 meters long and 820 millimeters in diameter. A foundation slab 3.5 meters thick is installed on them, for which about 9000 cubic meters of concrete were used.

Particular attention during construction is paid to the safety and subsequent maintenance of the building. Two special hatches are provided on the inclined roof of the skyscraper, through which high-rise cranes will emerge when necessary. These will be needed for facade maintenance and replacement of glass elements. Currently, about 900 people are working on the construction site, but the number of workers is planned to be increased in the future.

"Gazprom Center" is conceived as a self-contained urban complex with offices, a hotel, a medical rehabilitation center, and retail facilities. The skyscraper will house the office of "Gazprom Transgaz Belarus," and on the upper floors, there will be a restaurant with panoramic views of Minsk.

The project also includes a large parking area, recreation zones, an amphitheater for public events and open-air cinema screenings, a fountain, and small architectural forms. District authorities expect the area to become a recreational spot not only for complex employees but also for all city residents. They plan to host free film screenings, creative competitions, and music festivals here.

The total area of the complex will be 200 thousand square meters, and the area of its facades will be 60 thousand square meters. The skyscraper's weight is estimated at 160 thousand tons. Thanks to the common stylobate part, it will be possible to move between all seven buildings without going outside.
