Two new natural monuments have appeared in the Maladzyechna district. This follows a decision by the local district executive committee, as reported by Times.by.

The first botanical monument is located in the vicinity of Poviazyn village and is called "Karelian Birch." This is a unique tree, valued for its curly grain fibers and beautiful pattern.
The second natural monument in the district will be the centuries-old "Kupala's (Viazyanka) Oaks." The trees are located in a picturesque field not far from the Kupala Memorial Reserve "Viazyanka," which is approximately 35—40 km from Minsk.
These are enormous, mighty, sprawling oaks with colossal trunk girths. They grew here long before the birth of the poet Yanka Kupala (Ivan Lutsevich), however, in popular tradition, the name "Kupala's" firmly attached to them due to their direct proximity to the manor where the writer spent his first years of life.
The Radoshkovichi rural executive committee will be responsible for managing the new natural monuments in the Minsk region.
In addition, the document defines the boundaries of the natural monuments, and they will also be subject to the conditions stipulated in the law "On Specially Protected Natural Territories."
