Poland, Norway and Finland launched reservist training programs for a possible war with Russia
Norway, Finland, and Poland are expanding military training programs for their populations amidst the threat from Russia. Citizens are taught how to handle weapons, conduct urban warfare, use drones, and provide first aid to the wounded, writes Bild newspaper.

This year has been declared the year of "total defense" in Norway. According to this concept, not only the military but also state institutions, businesses, and the population should participate in the country's defense.
The National Guard (Heimevernet) numbers over 40,000 people — almost twice as many as the regular army (23,000). Among the reservists are lawyers, electricians, bankers, insurance agents, and farmers. Many of them leave their jobs once a year to attend military training camps.
In September, Oslo hosted the largest National Guard exercises this year, involving about 5,000 armed reservists.
