Former locksmith of a military unit in Pleschenitsy was heading for a record number of criminal convictions — but disappeared in the very first "meat assault"
46-year-old Vitaly "Bulbash" Maksimovich from Logoisk district accumulated at least 12 criminal cases in Belarus. And there were adventures in Russia too.

Vitaly Maksimovich was born in 1980, he hails from the village of Staiki, Logoisk district.
According to Belpol, he was first convicted back in 1998 — he assaulted a serviceman of unit №27897 in the dining hall of the same unit without any particular reason. Apparently, this happened during Maksimovich's own conscription service.
The fact of the fight did not prevent him from later getting a job as a locksmith in the same unit. Maksimovich worked in military unit №27897 (equipment base in Pleschenitsy) from 2006 to 2012. Many things were overlooked in the unit.
In 2005, Maksimovich stole a car. In 2008, he stole a phone. Later there were other thefts, robberies, and hooliganism.
By 2021, Maksimovich had accumulated 12 criminal court cases in Belarus.
Over time, he moved to Russia — to the city of Gatchina near St. Petersburg. He supposedly settled down — got together with a woman, and a child was born. But another drinking spree triggered the mechanism that led Maksimovich to disappear in the Ukrainian fields.
In May 2025, the Belarusian was drinking with his cohabitant and a neighbor. The cohabitant complained about Maksimovich, and the neighbor took her side. It ended in a fight — the Belarusian broke his opponent's ribs and cheekbone.
Since Maksimovich was considered previously unconvicted in Russia — 12 Belarusian criminal cases were not taken into account — he was given two and a half years of penal colony in February 2026, but conditionally (on probation).
What happened next is not entirely clear. It's possible that the Belarusian immediately began violating the terms and eventually went to a penal colony. Because already in May 2026, he signed a contract with the Russian army, in Orenburg no less.
Then more. May 16, 2026 — training in Orenburg. May 31, 2026 — first combat mission near Selydove (Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region). June 1, 2026 — last call and loss of contact.
As of June 6, 2026, Vitaly Maksimovich is officially recognized as missing. His relatives are now searching for information about the last days of the Belarusian 'gentleman of fortune' in specialized chats.
