"Alive". Mellstroy appeared on Instagram after reports of possible detention and death
For over a month, there had been no news from Gomel blogger Andrei Burym following information about his detention in Cyprus.

Belarusian trash streamer Andrei Burym, known as Mellstroy, published a short video on Instagram with a single word — "Alive." Earlier, Burym stated that police in Cyprus had found him at Kazakhstan's request, after which he stopped posting.
In the new video, the blogger did not explain whether he was detained or what happened after his encounter with the police.
At the end of September, a video appeared on his Telegram channel in which Burym said: "Police found me at Kazakhstan's request. I am now..." The video was soon deleted.
After this, the Kazakhstani publication Qumash reported on the streamer's possible detention. Readers of the publication also speculated that he might be extradited to Kazakhstan, but there was no official confirmation of this.
Kazakhstan declared Burym on an international wanted list in November 2025. A court заочно (in absentia) sanctioned his arrest.
According to Kazakhstan's Agency for Financial Monitoring, the streamer is suspected of organizing a large-scale advertising campaign for the online casino Mellstroy.game, which targets, among others, users from Kazakhstan. To promote it, Burym offered subscribers prizes for filming videos with the casino's name, logos, and links. For the promised prizes, some engaged in provocative and dangerous acts.
