Melania Trump wrote letters to Putin and Zelenskyy

First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, handed over personal letters to the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Melania Trump, achieving a ceasefire in Oleshky would have been impossible without the participation of Putin and Zelenskyy. She stated that their cooperation sets an important precedent for advancing peace throughout the region.

From the Ukrainian side, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets and head of the "Servant of the People" parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamia were present at the meeting. They presented Melania Trump with the Order of Princess Olha, 1st degree, for her contribution to humanitarian support, human rights, and charitable activities.

Russia was represented by Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova and the President's Special Representative for Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries Kirill Dmitriev.

In her speech, Melania Trump called on the participants of the humanitarian mission to use their demonstrated courage to find common interests. She stated that joint efforts can achieve not only a temporary ceasefire but also a more lasting peace, and called the events in Oleshky a possible spark of hope in a difficult situation.

Melania Trump called herself an exceptional mediator in achieving the ceasefire regime in Oleshky. According to her, she participated in all stages of preparing the operation: studying demining plans, aerial photographs, assessing road conditions, and discussing evacuation routes.

A ceasefire regime was in effect in Oleshky from October 27 to November 1 for the humanitarian operation.
