Culinary Store Chain "Ukha iz petukha" Declared Bankrupt

The first establishment under this brand opened in 2019 on Ivanovskaya Street in Minsk. Later, "Kulinarnaya Fabrika" launched several more of its own sales points. In addition, its products were sold in other retail establishments, for example, in the premium discount store "Sem Pyatnits XXL".

The chain's concept combined several formats at once: a culinary shop, a cafe, and ready-made food production. Visitors were offered semi-finished products, pastries, desserts, soups, and hot dishes to go. Everything was prepared by professional chefs in their own production workshops, without purchasing semi-finished products from other manufacturers.

In addition to retail sales, the company delivered ready-made lunches to offices. In the evenings, significant discounts, up to 30%, usually applied to their products. In social networks, the quality of dishes and desserts was rated quite positively. For example, food blogger Kakobay gave the establishment's cuisine 7 out of 10 points.

Business difficulties began during the coronavirus pandemic. At that time, the company reported a significant drop in sales, due to many employers transferring office workers to remote work. Meanwhile, the chain's culinary stores were located mainly near business centers and targeted, among others, their employees.

"Kulinarnaya Fabrika" tried to change its business model, but it yielded no results. Gradually, sales points began to close. Eventually, the company's four owners decided to file for bankruptcy.

As reported in court, the total debt of the enterprise exceeds 903 thousand rubles, while the value of its assets is about 89.1 thousand rubles. Of this amount, less than 31 thousand accounts for fixed assets. The rest is accounts receivable, the collection of which can be quite difficult in practice.

The court hearing, where the issue of "Kulinarnaya Fabrika"'s bankruptcy will be considered, is scheduled for November 19.
