Belarusian complained to the prosecutor's office about the head of TV Republika: he said that foreigners participated in the Krakow shooting
After the shooting in Krakow, Tomasz Sakiewicz, according to media reports, stated: «It is known that foreigners were involved in this.» Belarusian Yauhen Sobaleu asks the prosecutor's office to check if these words contained incitement to hatred on national grounds. According to the police, the attacker is a Pole who acted alone.
The author of the post on Reddit under the nickname NicknameWrapper introduced himself as Belarusian Yauhen Sobaleu, who lives in Poland. He reported that he had filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office against the head of TV Republika Tomasz Sakiewicz and published the full text of his appeal to the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
The reason was publications by Niezalezna.pl and TV Republika, which reported Sakiewicz's words from the scene of the shooting on November 7. Sakiewicz spoke about the dead, the injured, and the panic in the square. In this context, a phrase about the involvement of foreigners was heard. Sakiewicz allegedly said these words: «It is known that foreigners were involved in this.»
«At the moment these words were uttered, nothing of the sort was «known». There was no confirmed information about the involvement of foreigners. Later, the police announced that the arrested attacker is a Polish citizen and, according to available information, acted alone,» Sobaleu wrote.
The Belarusian believes that such a statement could incite hostility towards foreigners living in Poland.
«It appalls me how cynically some try to use this tragedy for their own political purposes,» he noted.
«I am deeply indignant that in the face of such a terrible tragedy, someone can spread unconfirmed information that is capable of inciting hatred towards foreigners living in Poland,» the applicant adds.
In the complaint, Sobaleu asks to check if the statement contained public incitement to hatred based on national origin. He proposes to obtain the full recording of the broadcast, clarify the context and sources of Sakiewicz's information, and also check whether the journalist corrected his words after the police reports.
The author himself clarifies that he does not have the full recording of the broadcast and is quoting publications.
According to the police, the shooting was carried out by 24-year-old Polish citizen Michał A., who acted alone. Foreigners were among the dead and injured. There is no confirmed information about foreign accomplices in the attack in the police reports provided.

Этот руководитель TV Republika, вчера не только выдумал иностранцев во вчерашнем событии, но и нагло врал, что типа всю полицию краковскую отправили на усиление в Варшаву на митинг борцов с конституционной реформой, который планировался в этот день в столице. Нет ни одного полицейского, кроме straży miejskiej, и это несколько раз повторял в эфире, нагло заслонив собой стоящего полицейского перед камерой. Эту ложь увидел один из присутствующих и сделал замечание в грубой форме этому руководителю, что пан нагло врёт прямо в эфире. Также эту ложь вчера разоблачил один из польских блогеров, который сделал раскадровку видео, там где давал интервью этот руководитель и обманывал зрителей, показав стрелочками и приблизив полицейского за его спиной с повязкой на руке, где четко написано "POLICJA".
