Russian comedian Dorokhov, who traveled to the Donbas, gave a concert in Minsk and made a vulgar joke about Kupala.
Denis Dorokhov filled the Sports Palace, but at least one of his jokes unpleasantly surprised the audience.

Denis Dorokhov is a fairly well-known and popular comedian in Russia. He played in KVN for the "Kamyzyaki" team, with which he still performs. And he also became famous thanks to the show "Once in Russia".
In 2023, Dorokhov, along with his regular show partner Azamat Musagaliev, traveled to the occupied Donbass. There, the comedians performed for Russian soldiers fighting against Ukraine.
"We spoke directly with the military personnel who are defending this land. And I want to mention the main feature: they speak from the heart, they are very soulful people," Dorokhov shared his impressions of the concert.
Many fans of the comedians did not understand and began to accuse them of being sellouts. Denis even had to close the comments under the post about the trip.

On November 25, Dorokhov gave a large solo stand-up show at the Sports Palace in Minsk. Tickets for the concert cost from 55 to 178 rubles. Apparently, the comedian asked the audience not to film the performance. But someone still disobeyed. And posted on TikTok his very strange joke about Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas.
Apparently, it was the beginning of the concert. Dorokhov decided to boast about his abilities and stated that he had learned the correct name of the country he had come to. And he also understood the difference between Belarusian classics.
"Belarus, not Belorussia. I prepared! Yanka Kupala is a writer, not the wife of Yakub Kolas. Who is also a writer. I prepared!" Dorokhov tried to joke.
The joke, apparently, didn't go down very well with the Belarusian audience. There were very rare applause, and the author himself was the only one who laughed.
Such humor was also not understood in the comments. People ask where to laugh, and wonder how you could pay money for something like that. Here are just a few comments:
"This is the level of humor..."
"He joked, he laughed"
"Should we laugh after the word 'shovel'?"
"A quiet horror, joking about famous Belarusian writers."
"What's funny about humiliating our writers?"
"If this is humor, then I'm a ballerina. Just shameful."
However, there were also those who really liked the concert. Fans write that the jokes were funny, and if you don't like it, you just don't understand humor.
