Belarusian runner Yuliya Nestsiarenka, who won the 100-meter dash at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, recently got divorced.
She was married to her husband Dzmitry since 2002.
After the divorce, the athlete moved from her native Brest to the capital.
"It so happened that my personal life changed fundamentally. I got divorced and decided: if I'm going to change, I'm going to change everything radically. So there's no possibility of returning to the past, as sometimes happens when people break up," Nestsiarenka told Pressbol.
Her ex-husband later explained that they got divorced in September 2025. "Nothing like that. We broke up normally. We just peacefully separated," he replied.
Dzmitry said that Yuliya proposed the divorce, and neither of them has a new family yet.
