Russia and Ukraine conducted the first exchange of fallen soldiers' bodies this year
Moscow handed over 1000 bodies of fallen soldiers to Ukraine, which, according to the Russian side, belong to Ukrainian servicemen, reported the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Kyiv will begin identifying the bodies in the near future.

Shamsail Saraliev, a State Duma deputy and representative of the parliamentary coordination group on military operations, told RBC that in return, the Ukrainian side handed over 38 bodies of Russian servicemen to Moscow. The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on this.
The last time Russia and Ukraine exchanged bodies of fallen soldiers was in December last year. At that time, Moscow handed over 1000 bodies of fallen soldiers to Kyiv, and Ukraine handed over 26 bodies to Russia.
