The Eurasian Economic Commission adopted a decision to exempt Belarus, Armenia, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan from paying customs duties on the import of certain cocoa bean processing products — non-defatted cocoa paste, cocoa butter, and cocoa fat.

Duty-free quotas have been established for Belarus: 5.5 thousand tons for one type of product and 3.5 thousand tons for another. The exemption will be valid until April 30, 2027.
These ingredients are used in the production of chocolate, chocolate candies, and other confectionery products, as well as in the pharmaceutical and perfume industries. It is expected that the reduction in customs costs will allow enterprises to lower the cost of raw materials and increase operational efficiency.
It is emphasized that goods imported using the exemption can only be used within the territory of the respective countries. The decision will come into force ten calendar days after its official publication.
