According to the prosecutor's office, in August 2025, the man came to his family for vacation from Russia, where he worked as an installer. For a week, he constantly drank and often conflicted with his wife, which led her to repeatedly contact the police.
In the evening of August 9, the man could not get into the apartment because his wife had locked herself inside, fearing his aggressive behavior. He tried to break down the door and used a dagger for this.
Employees of the Department of Protection arrived at the call. In the stairwell, one of the police officers was attacked: the accused inflicted four stab wounds on him, including in the neck area. However, they were not fatal.
The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 16 years of imprisonment to be served in a reinforced regime penal colony. He was also ordered to pay monetary compensation for moral damages to the victim.
