Losik Revealed How a Planted Inmate Was Epically Exposed in a KGB Pre-trial Detention Cell

Everyone else was taken to vote in the presidential elections, but by law, he had to be left behind.

Blogger and former political prisoner Ihar Losik reacted to Nasha Niva's article about former banker Mikalai Tsyrto. Evidence emerged that the former banker might be a planted informant for important inmates in "Amerikanka" [a nickname for the KGB pre-trial detention center].

Losik writes that, according to his observations, planted informants in the KGB pre-trial detention center are a common practice: "Aliaksandrovich, Aliakseienkaŭ, Paŭloŭski: for some reason, I noticed that during my stay there, these people had surnames derived from first names."

Aliaksandrovich, Losik later learned, told different stories about his case in different cells. He had been held for at least two years already. He pretends to be enthusiastic about psychological tests, but in reality, for some reason, he asks everyone in the cell to take them, and sends the questionnaires in a letter; his cohabitant then supposedly sends him the results. The tests vary: from a 500-question personality study methodology to a test given to inmates in American prisons for early release.

He is supposedly imprisoned for exporting weapons to Middle Eastern countries (Lebanon).

He is fluent in many languages: English, Hebrew, Arabic, Turkish.

"Therefore, foreigners are "thrown" to him so that he can extract information from them or "pressure" them into confessing guilt. German Kruger, who was sentenced to death, sat with him. A Japanese person sat with him. He often leaves for a whole day, supposedly for appeals on expert examinations (though he is already convicted), but actually goes to the operatives, tells them everything, and receives new instructions. He is allowed to receive and send letters in Hebrew. Former KGB lieutenant colonel or colonel," — Losik writes.

The second inmate, whom Losik suspects, was "very epically" exposed due to the fault of KGB pre-trial detention center employees.

Aliakseienkaŭ claimed that he was under investigation for a fraud charge.

"But when the presidential elections began, all cells were ordered to write a statement requesting to vote (after changes to the constitution, those under investigation now have the right to vote in pre-trial detention centers). Everyone wrote one, except for me, as I was convicted; he also wrote one. But on election day, everyone except us was taken out of the cell, and that's when I realized he was convicted and had lied about his charge," — Losik recounts.

He says he had suspected the man earlier because he claimed he had been held for several months, but sometimes he misspoke and recounted seeing, for example, Eduard Babaryka. Many things didn't add up, and he had to explain himself.

"He said that he was a former KGB colonel, had signed a cooperation agreement, and to avoid going to a labor camp, he was offered to work as an operative in the cells. For this, they promised to send him for early release (parole). But, as I understood, several such releases for him had already fallen through, and he himself stopped believing the operatives who kept giving him new assignments," — Losik writes.

He believes that there is almost one such employee in every cell of the KGB pre-trial detention center. And they work quite effectively.

"Many who entered the cells, after talking with them, decided to write a confession of repentance or admit guilt," — the blogger adds.
