She was the last chairwoman of the women's party "Nadzeya" and a lawyer for independent trade unions.

Alena Yaskova

This morning, Alena Yaskova, a lawyer for the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions, passed away.

Yaskova was the last chairwoman of the Belarusian Women's Party "Nadzeya", which was liquidated in 2007.

“We have lost one of the best labor law lawyers in Belarus…” her friends wrote on social media.
