According to Pyatkevich, the media too often show examples of celebrities giving birth at 50 or even 56 years old, which creates an illusion of safety. Pyatkevich called on journalists to ground this topic.
"The media can indeed create real state policy. An example is demographic security. We all understand that today there is delayed motherhood," she said. "Previously, women were afraid to give birth late – who knows what could happen; today we hear that a star gave birth at 50, and another at 56. Let's tell people that even after 30, it is difficult to give birth, especially if there are health problems. We need to explain that these things should be done in a timely manner. Because the absolute majority of young girls and boys want to have a family and children."
Natalya Pyatkevich is 53 years old. She has one son.
