As reported by Dissidentby, the woman is accused under Part 1 of Art. 130 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred) and Part 3 of Art. 361 of the Criminal Code (calls for sanctions or other actions harmful to national security). In total, Alena has been charged with 8 episodes. What exactly the political prisoner is accused of is not yet known.

Previously, Alena Malinovskaya was not released after 4 years of imprisonment; a new case was opened against her. On August 31, 2025, the woman was supposed to be released, but instead, she was transported from the penal colony to detention in Minsk.
Alena Malinovskaya was sentenced in 2022 along with Lilia Ananian and Anatol Latushka, cousin of politician Pavel Latushka. She was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment for "hooliganism" and "desecration of state symbols" — for drawings of the "Pahonia" coat of arms and a burned flag.
