Political prisoner photographer Natallia Bachurynskaya's sentence commuted and she was released
The sentence was reviewed during an appeal in the Supreme Court

On January 13, Natallia Bachurynskaya was sentenced by the Homiel Regional Court under Art. 361-2 (financing extremist activity) of the Criminal Code to three years in a general regime colony and a fine of 500 base units (22,500 rubles).
As "Homielskaya Viasna" learned, during the appeal hearing, the Supreme Court reclassified the charge from "financing extremist activity" to "facilitating extremist activity" (Art. 361-4 of the Criminal Code).
As a result, taking into account her poor health, Natallia's sentence was commuted, and she was assigned three years of "home chemistry" (house arrest with correctional labor).
