Aliaksandr Lukashenka was shown the capabilities of modern drones and the skills of their operators during a visit to the Minsk Aero Club of DOSAAF, writes BelTA.
Drone racing is one of the new directions of activity for DOSAAF, but it is developing very actively. Last year, 15 sections were opened across the country. Training classes for drone racing are equipped with modern equipment, including computer simulators with joysticks for mastering basic piloting skills, as well as a "cube" - a specially equipped space for practical flights at the initial stage of training, which guarantees operator safety and drone integrity.
Drone speed reaches about 200 km/h. They are capable of precisely maneuvering, flying around various obstacles even in confined spaces.
Lukashenka was assured that DOSAAF is capable of deploying drone operator training anywhere in the country. Last year, about 250 operators were trained.
