AFU: Ukrainian-Belarusian border turned into an impregnable fortress PHOTOS
The Ukrainian-Belarusian border has been significantly fortified and effectively turned into a powerful defensive line. Ukrainian military personnel are in constant combat readiness and are preparing for possible threats or provocations, writes "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to Operational Command "West".
In the northern direction, Ukrainians have built kilometers of field fortifications, creating numerous positions for equipment and firing points. Additionally, the defense is strengthened by minefields, ditches, and other barriers. Natural conditions — forests, swamps, and rivers — also make this territory difficult to access.
Border units and military personnel, it is claimed, control the situation and are ready to quickly react to any enemy actions.
The Ukrainian side believes that, despite the current relative quiet on the common border, Belarus remains an ally of Russia and can be used as a staging ground for possible military actions. On Belarusian territory, the development of military logistics is observed, which could be utilized in the future.
The Ukrainian leadership regularly notes that Russia is trying to draw Belarus into the war and is considering the possibility of new operations from its territory.
