Slovakia Condemned Russian Strikes on Ukraine

This was stated on Thursday by Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár.

“Slovakia condemns yesterday’s and today’s massive Russian air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, which reached Uzhhorod in Transcarpathia, near the border with Slovakia, where a significant Slovak minority also resides,” Blanár’s statement, quoted by Reuters, said.

Slovakia, represented by its Prime Minister Robert Fico, maintains ties with Moscow; Fico himself visited Moscow on May 9.

At least five people were killed and 40 injured in today's strike on Kyiv.
