32-year-old Belarusian from near Gomel to receive his first passport only now
In the Gomel district, a man born in 1994 will only now be able to obtain a passport. Until now, he had lived for more than 30 years without a document officially confirming his birth, reported local television.

The reason was an error made back in the maternity hospital. When filling out documents, relatives indicated the mother's name as "Nona" instead of the real one — "Larisa". As a result, the birth certificate contained an incorrect name, and a standard birth certificate was never issued.
The prosecutor's office helped to rectify the situation. The prosecutor of the Gomel district, acting in the man's interests, filed a lawsuit with the court to establish the fact of his birth on January 1, 1994, to his mother Larisa.
The court fully satisfied the application. In addition, it was decided to add information about the man's father to the record.
