The US Vice President stated that Ukraine should stop striking Russian oil refineries.

US Vice President J.D. Vance declined to call Ukraine an ally of Washington and stated that Kyiv should stop striking Russian energy facilities, as these lead to rising energy prices for Americans. He said this in an interview with the 2WAY portal, writes RBC.
During the conversation, Vance was asked if he considers Ukraine an ally of the United States.
“In a certain sense, they are certainly a partner, but I think our interests diverge from time to time,” the Vice President replied.
As an example of diverging interests, he cited Ukrainian strikes on Russia.
“Do I think they should be striking Russian diesel fuel production facilities, which lead to rising energy prices for Americans? No,” Vance stated.
