How Lukashenka's clan got a share in Belarusian Wildberries and millions in dividends

In Belarus, the Wildberries trading platform is managed by the company "IMVBRB". In 2025, it acquired a new co-owner — the closed joint-stock company "TD Kvadrat", which received 10% of the business.

Another acquisition helped journalists find out who is behind this firm. In the same year, "TD Kvadrat" acquired almost all shares of RRB Bank. In the bank's audit report, businessman Dmitry Kurnosenko is named as the ultimate beneficial owner.

According to the investigation, the director of "TD Kvadrat" is Yauhen Vasilieu. He is also responsible for relations with government bodies in Belarusian Wildberries, representing the interests of the trading platform before the authorities.

It was through Kurnosenko and Vasilieu that investigators traced connections to the circle of Dzmitry and Hanna Lukashenka.

One of the main chains of connections leads to the advertising business. At the end of October 2025, the company "Creative Code" was registered in Belarus. In less than a year, it acquired ownership of nearly three thousand advertising structures across the country.

15% of this company belongs to "Musical Media Company", where Hanna Lukashenka works as general producer.

Another 10% belongs to "ANSL Production". The main owner of this firm, holding 95%, is Andrey Vrubleuski, Dzmitry Lukashenka's top manager.

"Bureau" puts forward the version that Vrubleuski might be a nominal, i.e., formal, owner, behind whom Hanna Lukashenka's involvement is hidden. Journalists also draw attention to the name "ANSL", which resembles a combination of her name and initials: "ANna Siarheyeuna Lukashenka".

The remaining 75% of "Creative Code" belongs to the closed company "CorusMedia". Its owners are not disclosed. However, Darya Kharuzhka is listed as the director. According to data from "Cyberpartisans", cited by "Bureau", she worked for more than ten years at "Safe Roads of Belarus" — Kurnosenko's company.

Thus, in one advertising project, a company where Hanna Lukashenka works, a firm belonging to her husband's top manager, and a structure headed by Kurnosenko's former employee converged.

"The revealed connections also allow us to assume that Kurnosenko may be involved in the advertising business associated with Hanna Lukashenka," the investigators write.

A second chain leads through the family of "TD Kvadrat" head, Yauhen Vasilieu.

His wife, Alena Vasilyeva, develops the "Valenka" bakery chain and has been a co-owner of the company "Syabry Event" since 2023. Her partner in this company is restaurateur Natallia Sadouskaya.

Sadouskaya has access to the country's leadership: in 2020, she was a guest at Lukashenka's closed inauguration and headed the Association of Restaurateurs of Belarus. Around the same time, Vasilieu began to be referred to in the media as the chairman of the supervisory board of this association.

But the main family connection here is through the Fabriq restaurant. Sadouskaya and her brother, through the company "Stalichnaya Restoratsyya" (Capital Restaurant), own 75% of the firm that manages this restaurant. The remaining 25% are registered to Uladzimir Kulakou.

Kulakou is the husband of Hanna Lukashenka's sister. Thus, Vasilieu's wife's business partner runs a joint restaurant business with a relative of Lukashenka's daughter-in-law.

Kulakou is also directly connected to Dzmitry Lukashenka: for ten years he headed the "Tennis Club" — a subsidiary of the Presidential Sports Club. The head of this club is Lukashenka's middle son, Dzmitry.

Separately, journalists examined the finances of "Syabry Event" — a joint company of Alena Vasilyeva and Sadouskaya. For 2025, its revenue amounted to 9.7 million rubles, net profit — 1.04 million. According to "Bureau", the company organizes performances by stand-up comedians. The authors consider its turnover unusually large for such an activity:

"It is not excluded that Vasilieu's share for resolving issues with Wildberries in favor of the Lukashenka family may be settling precisely in "Syabry Event"."

Journalists found another connection to the country's leader's circle in Kurnosenko. His company "Safe Roads of Belarus", which installs and maintains speed camera systems, employed Dzmitry Kurakevich — a former employee of the President's Security Service and Lukashenka's personal driver. Investigators also found information about five joint foreign trips by Kurnosenko and Kurakevich.

"Bureau" considers these contacts as evidence that a person trusted by those in power received a share in Wildberries.

"Bureau" examined the financial indicators of "TD Kvadrat" and found that in 2025 the firm received slightly over 70.054 million Belarusian rubles (20.3 million euros) as "income from participation in the authorized capital of other organizations". Judging by the accounting statements of Belarusian Wildberries, the company paid almost the same amount, 70.053 million Belarusian rubles, in dividends to shareholders, or more precisely — to one specific "TD Kvadrat".

This is almost a quarter of the net profit of Belarusian Wildberries for 2025, which amounted to 295 million rubles, although the share of the new co-owner is only 10%.

From its revenues, the firm paid its own shareholder 26.7 million rubles in dividends.

"No matter how you look at it, everything indicates that the share in Belarusian Wildberries is under the control of Dzmitry Lukashenka's clan," conclude the authors of the investigation.

Kurnosenko refused to answer "Bureau"'s questions and called the information about his ownership of "TD Kvadrat" "unverified." Vasilieu called the information that he is the director of this company "some kind of mistake."
