A hundred-year-old mansion with a large park sold to a Russian in Mosty

In Mosty, an unusual lot was sold on the second attempt – a two-story mansion built in 1928, along with a tennis court and a large park. The new owner of the former estate, built in the Zakopane style, which is rare for us, became a merchant from Russia, for whom all this beauty cost $78,300 at the current exchange rate of the National Bank, Domovita.by writes .

Initially, attempts were made to sell the former estate at Yanka Kupala Street, 62 in Mosty, in August of this year. At the first auction, the starting price was 345,782.35 rubles, but no bids were received for the lot.

For the second auction, the starting price was cut by approximately 45%, after which the building immediately found a buyer. There was no bidding war this time, as only one participant registered for the auction. According to the auction rules, in such a situation, the lot is given to the sole bidder with a 5% addition to the starting price. The final check amounted to 235,681.26 Belarusian rubles, which equals $78,305. The buyer was a citizen of the Russian Federation, who, as an individual, purchased the property to develop agro-ecotourism here.

The building itself looks very atmospheric and is nothing like typical construction. This stone house with an attic and a terrace was built in 1928, during Polish rule. The architecture combines the Zakopane style and elements of Neo-Baroque, and the main entrance is adorned with classical columns and a figured pediment.

Despite its almost century-old age, the 271.7 square meter building is perfectly preserved and does not require major repairs. It has a strong concrete foundation, silicate brick walls, wooden ceilings, and a steel roof. All basic amenities have long been installed inside: electricity, water supply, and local sewage are operational.

The history of these places is even older. Previously, there was a village called Malyya Stsyapanishki, which was mentioned in the chronicles of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania as early as 1557. In the late 19th century, the local estates were owned by Aliaksandr Favorsky and Zdzislaw Kalanta, and in the 1920s, the current manor house with a park and garden grew here.

During Soviet times, a regular school operated in the former lord's mansion. Later, the complex was transferred to the balance of Mosty Housing and Utilities, where the popular agro-estate "Yavar" was opened, and in 2014, the "Komunalnik" sports club. From the recreation base, an equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, a transformable hall for banquets on the ground floor, and spacious bedrooms with bathrooms on the second floor remained inside.

A pleasant bonus to the mansion itself was the huge well-maintained territory. The winner of the auction received a plot of about 1.7 hectares for a 50-year lease. Along with the house, the new owner also acquired two workshops, a gazebo, a canopy, a well, and even a tennis court. Along the walking paths, carved wooden benches and sculptures, made by local craftsman Viktar Yepachantsau in his time, have been preserved. According to the terms of the deal, the new owner has exactly one year to launch the project, and if desired, the object's profile can be changed from a hotel to a sports or shopping center.
